The Balance for Liberty

Governments destitute of energy, will ever produce anarchy.  James Madison

It is melancholy reflection that liberty should be equally exposed to danger whether the Government have too much or too little power.  James Madison

The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground.  James Madison

The natural progress has proved to have directed this nation toward tyranny, and an ignorant and entitled citizenry has allowed and even encouraged the restraining of the liberties endowed us by our Creator and not the government that sees fit to place chains on those who wish nothing more than to be free.  Today, not one of the rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights have been left untouched.  While agencies not imagined by the founding fathers are amassing arms and ammunition for domestic use and are monitoring all forms of communication among the citizenry and are doing so without first obtaining the search warrants dictated by the true law of the land, the government is engaged in a political dance over a budget that will be meaningless and a debt ceiling increase that is all but inevitable.  The political dance is meant for public bedazzlement as both political parties as neither party truly wants to be hindered by fiscally responsible restraint.  While both parties serve their masters in the goal of international meddling and corporate conquest, one party endeavors to impose tyranny on the misinformed and often times ignorant (the ignoring of facts presented, not the lack of knowledge available) masses while the seemingly opposing party offers little more than passive resistance.   After all, all society stripped of its liberties and left with no more reason for existence but to serve the government is nothing more than slaves serving the real powers controlling the government.

When all other rights are taken away the right of rebellion is made perfect. Thomas Paine

And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers and not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance?  Let them take arms.  The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them.  What signify a few lives lost in a century or two?   Thomas Jefferson

Stand your ground.  Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here!  Captain John Parker to the Lexington Minutemen, April 19, 1775
